
A suspected cult clash in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State has reportedly left one man dead and another seriously injured.
The incident occurred around Ojo Road on Sunday evening, September 27, following a reported confrontation involving suspected members of the Aye and Vikings groups.
According to reports, the clash began after a man identified as Qudus, who was alleged to be a member of the Aye group, reportedly stabbed a suspected Vikings member during a dispute.
The incident was said to have triggered a reprisal attack, during which Qudus was reportedly attacked and seriously injured. He was subsequently taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

The situation allegedly escalated further when suspected Aye members carried out a reprisal attack, resulting in the death of a man near a bus stop along Ojo Road.
Reports surrounding the identity of the deceased remain conflicting, as one account claimed he was a member of the Vikings group, while members of the group reportedly denied that he belonged to them.
There were also differing accounts of how the confrontation started, with an X user alleging that outsiders may have been involved in the initial fight.
As of the time of reporting, the Lagos State Police Command had not confirmed the incident. Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi said she would contact the relevant Divisional Police Officer or Area Commander to obtain details.
