A motorboy has died, while three other people, including a truck driver, sustained injuries after a cement-laden trailer crashed along Mile 6, Ajebo Road, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The accident reportedly occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Agbedejobi village after the trailer suffered brake failure while descending a bridge.
The trailer driver reportedly lost control while attempting to avoid a vehicle ahead, causing the truck to ram into a ditch before veering onto a railway track and spilling its cement load into a nearby bush.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident, stating that one of the motorboys died at the scene.
Another motorboy sustained a broken arm, while the driver and the fourth occupant suffered varying degrees of injuries.
