Reality TV star and entrepreneur Mercy Eke has shared why she believes she is ready to settle down, citing her personal growth, success, and maturity as key reasons.
Speaking during an appearance on Toke Moments, hosted by media personality Toke Makinwa, the former Big Brother Naija winner said she feels prepared to embrace the next phase of her life.
“First of all, I am of age. I am successful, mentally I think I am ready, and I am homely. I am ready for that next level,” she said.
Eke also explained her decision to pursue a Master’s degree, revealing that her desire for self-improvement and business growth inspired her return to the classroom.
“You know it gets to a point in your life when you just feel like there is something I should do. I easily get bored with things, and I felt like it was the right time. With my business, I realised I was lacking something. I wanted to go back to school and understand what people making millions and billions of dollars are doing differently. I felt like knowledge is the answer, so I went back to school,” she said.

“I can be with someone who won’t want me to work. Yes, I can. I am tired,” she said with a laugh.
“I will always do something, though. Maybe I’ll open a place, visit it two times a week, and see how things are going.”
The reality star’s comments have sparked conversations about marriage, personal fulfilment, education, and balancing career ambitions with family life.
