
A family journey in Kebbi State has ended in tragedy after armed kidnappers attacked a vehicle, killing a young boy’s father and the family driver, while his mother later died in captivity.
The boy, identified as Hassan Haruna from Bena, Kebbi State, was travelling with his parents and their driver along Shagari Road when the attackers struck.
According to Hassan, the kidnappers killed his father and the driver before taking him and his mother into a forest. While they were being held captive, his mother reportedly died.
Hassan eventually managed to escape from the kidnappers’ hideout and found his way out through the Kucheri forest area of Tsafe Local Government Area in Zamfara State.

After his escape, the boy was taken to a hospital where he received medical attention and is currently recovering.
Efforts are reportedly underway to locate Hassan’s relatives and reunite him with his family. Residents of Bena and surrounding communities have also been urged to provide any information that could help trace his relatives.
The incident has left the young survivor facing the devastating loss of his parents and family driver, even as he recovers from the ordeal.
