
Afrobeats superstar Davido has been announced as one of the inductees for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, United States, in recognition of his global influence on music and Black culture.
The organisers revealed that the induction ceremony will take place on June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside, where Davido will be officially honoured alongside other prominent figures in entertainment and public life.
This year’s list of inductees also includes American rapper Ludacris, gospel singer Paul Morton, and former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson. They are being recognised for their outstanding contributions to Black music, culture, and community development.
The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame was created by the Black American Music Association in partnership with the Georgia Entertainment Caucus.

It honours individuals who have made lasting contributions to Black entertainment globally, with plaques installed along a designated walkway in Atlanta to celebrate their achievements.
Davido’s recognition comes at a significant point in his career as he marks 15 years in the music industry. The singer recently reflected on his journey, expressing gratitude for his growth and success over the years.
Born in Atlanta and raised in Nigeria, Davido began his professional music career in 2011. He rose to fame after releasing early hits that helped popularise Afrobeats globally, blending the genre with pop and hip-hop influences.
Over the years, he has released several successful projects and hit songs, earning international acclaim and multiple award nominations, including recognition at the Grammy Awards.
His albums and performances have further strengthened his status as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
This latest honour adds to Davido’s growing list of international achievements, further cementing his place among global music icons shaping the future of Afrobeats.
