The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested 28-year-old, Baffa’ji Abba for allegedly assaulting his eight-year-old daughter at their home in Alkaleri Local Government Area.
Baffa’ji Abba, lured his 8 years old daughter inside bathroom, and forcefully had a carnal knowledge of her, both through her vaginal and Anus.
Police Public Relations Officer Nafiu Habib stated that the incident was reported on December 31, 2025, by the child’s grandfather, who claimed the abuse took place the day before.
A team of detectives led by CSP Kadiri Danjuma quickly responded, ensured the child received medical attention at General Hospital, Alkaleri, and apprehended Abba.

Reports indicate that the suspect confessed to the offence during questioning.
Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has instructed the State Criminal Investigation Department to carry out a thorough and discreet investigation to collect all relevant evidence.
Following this, the suspect will be formally charged and brought before the court.
The police reiterated their commitment to protecting children and holding offenders accountable under the law.
