More than 40 armed bandits, including the younger brother of notorious bandit leader Ado Allero, have reportedly been killed during a clash between rival factions in Zamfara State.
The incident reportedly occurred in the eastern Mada axis of the state amid rising tensions among armed groups operating in the area.
The deceased, identified by the nickname “Senator,” was said to be among those killed in the confrontation, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the development in a post on X on Friday.
The circumstances that triggered the deadly clash remain unclear, while preliminary accounts suggest that disputes over territorial control, leadership disagreements and competition for resources have contributed to tensions among criminal groups in the North-West.

The reported death of Senator could have implications for the network associated with Ado Allero, a notorious bandit kingpin operating in the region, particularly if the internal fighting further weakens alliances among armed groups.
However, the reported death toll and the identities of those killed have not been independently verified as of the time of filing this report.
Further details are expected as more information emerges.
