Actress Sarah Martin has sparked debate after sharing her perspective on emotional abuse in relationships, following a viral video that showed a woman damaging her home during an argument with her husband.
Reacting to the footage, Martin questioned why such behaviour is not more widely recognised as a form of abuse. She suggested that when men speak out about their experiences, they are often dismissed or blamed, making it difficult for them to be taken seriously.
According to her, many men endure emotional distress in silence while trying to hold their marriages together. She added that if more of them openly shared their experiences, it would challenge common assumptions about relationship dynamics.

Martin further argued that women can also play a significant role in marital conflicts, stating that this perspective is often overlooked. She clarified that her comments were not intended to seek approval or provoke controversy, but to highlight an issue she believes deserves more attention.
Reflecting on her own behaviour, she acknowledged that she, too, can have difficult moments, noting that mood swings or aggression are not uncommon and may be something other women can relate to as well.
