Media personality Symply Tacha has stated that men must actively make efforts to impress women in relationships, describing the idea that men no longer need to try as misleading.
Speaking on the CreativiTEA podcast, Tacha challenged the popular narrative that men “don’t have to impress,” pointing out contradictions within modern dating culture. She noted that men are still expected to take women out, buy gifts, and initiate romantic gestures, yet some argue that effort is no longer necessary.
According to her, effort remains a fundamental part of healthy relationships. She questioned how men could claim they do not need to impress while simultaneously offering to buy drinks or plan outings.
Tacha further emphasized that displays of effort are natural, drawing comparisons to the animal kingdom where male birds perform elaborate displays to attract females. She questioned why humans should be any different.

She also criticized men who treat effort as optional while expecting women to maintain certain standards. Tacha urged women to be clear about their expectations and cautioned against accepting bare minimum treatment in the name of “wokeness” or independence.
In her words, those who avoid effort often hide behind modern social narratives. She concluded by stating that if animals instinctively understand the need to impress a mate, humans should be even more aware of that responsibility.
