Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of singer Davido’s first child, has appealed to fans to stop addressing her as the musician’s wife.
Speaking in a recent Snapchat video, Momodu expressed concern that some fans still refer to her as Davido’s wife despite the end of their relationship and the singer’s marriage to someone else. She stressed the need for respect for personal choices and existing marriages.
Momodu said she has moved on from the relationship and is focused on her own life, adding that she desires privacy and understanding from the public.
Recounting an encounter with a content creator, she said she was surprised when she was addressed as “mama Imade, OBO’s wife,” noting that the description was inaccurate.
She urged fans to stop using the title, respect boundaries, and allow everyone involved to live peacefully. “Let’s respect people’s marriages and rules. If people have moved on, allow them to move on in peace. Allow me to move on in peace,” she said.
