The custody battle between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a new turn following fresh claims and counterclaims over access to their children.
Regina, who has openly declared her intention to fight for custody of her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, alleged that Nwoko has applied for full custody despite the children currently being in his care.
She also accused the lawmaker of deliberately showcasing the children on social media to attract public attention.
In a series of Instagram posts, the actress further claimed that Nwoko dismissed all her nannies and allegedly pressured them into making false statements that she is violent and struggles with alcoholism.
However, in response to the accusations, Ned Nwoko denied preventing Regina from seeing the children.
He disclosed that a court ruling had already been issued in the matter, adding that specific conditions were set before Regina could be granted access to the boys.
These conditions reportedly include undergoing drug rehabilitation and an assessment by the Abuja Social Welfare Department.
Reacting to her complaints about his social media posts, Nwoko argued that Regina had previously shared similar content online herself, questioning her sudden opposition. He maintained that he is acting within the law and in the best interest of the children.
