Trump voices anger over Nigeria’s alleged Christian killings, signals next moves

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again spoken strongly about what he calls a “Christian genocide” in Nigeria, saying he is “very angry” about the killings. Speaking on a conservative radio program, in comments later highlighted by Fox News, Trump claimed that thousands of Christians are being killed in Nigeria and accused the Nigerian government of failing to protect them.

Trump previously listed Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over the attacks and warned that the situation could force the United States to take tough action.

He described Nigeria as “a disgrace,” saying the violence against Christian communities has gone on for too long.

During the interview, Trump hinted at his next possible steps. He suggested that the U.S. might cut off all forms of aid to Nigeria if the government does not do more to stop extremist violence.

He also repeated his earlier threat to launch military action against militant groups in the country if the killings continue.

“They’re killing people by the thousands,” Trump said. “It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it. We give Nigeria a lot of support. That may stop.”
