Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have killed a suspected notorious criminal, Abubakar Ango, after he allegedly attempted to disarm a soldier while leading security operatives to his gang’s hideout in Plateau State.
According to security sources cited by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama in a post on X on Sunday, Ango was arrested on November 4 by troops of Sector 2, Operation Enduring Peace, at Kukawa village in Wase Local Government Area.
During interrogation on November 6, the suspect reportedly confessed to involvement in several criminal activities and agreed to lead troops to a forest hideout where members of his gang were believed to be operating.
