One person has reportedly died, while several others sustained injuries after a bus conveying women supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was involved in a fatal accident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The accident occurred on Friday along Oron Road when a Toyota Hilux reportedly collided with the bus conveying the APC women.
Following the collision, the bus was left visibly damaged, while commuters and passersby rushed to the scene to rescue the victims.

The women were reportedly travelling to attend the APC presidential campaign rally in support of President Bola Tinubu, with Vice President Kashim Shettima already in Uyo ahead of the event.
