At least three passengers have reportedly died after a commercial bus collided with a truck and burst into flames in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The accident occurred on Friday near Ibrolak Filling Station, around the Okolowo area of the city.
The bus was reportedly travelling from Lagos towards the northern part of the country, while the truck was coming from the Shao direction.
An eyewitness said the truck, which was carrying sack bags suspected to contain sawdust, was attempting to make a U-turn towards Okolowo when the approaching bus rammed into it.
The impact reportedly triggered a fire that engulfed the bus, leaving its three occupants burnt beyond recognition.
