Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has expressed condolences to the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, following the death of her mother, Mrs Kamene Okonjo, at the age of 96.
Kamene Okonjo reportedly died on Friday after a life devoted to her family and service. She was married for 66 years to the late Professor Chukwuka Okonjo, a former traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State.
In a condolence statement issued on Monday through his Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njuko-Ukoha, Otti described the loss as deeply personal to him and the people of Abia State.

He described the deceased as a moral guide, teacher, confidante and prayer warrior whose values of integrity, hard work, excellence, compassion and service helped shape her daughter’s contributions to humanity.
