Two seven-year-old boys have died after being electrocuted when a live electricity wire reportedly fell on a shop in Idanre, Ondo State.
The victims, identified as Oloyede Ayo and Clinton Koleola, were said to have been inside a shop along Apefon Road when the wire suddenly fell onto the building.
An eyewitness said the incident caused panic in the area as the boys tried to escape from the shop.
The children reportedly came into contact with the live wire while attempting to flee, resulting in their electrocution and subsequent deaths.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Jimoh Abayomi, said an investigation had commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Abayomi explained that preliminary findings indicated that the live wire fell onto the shop and electrocuted the children as they attempted to escape.
He sympathised with the families of the deceased and described the incident as a painful loss.
The police spokesperson assured that the command would carry out a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
