
A 20-year-old man has allegedly conspired with two others to attack his mother and steal money and valuables from her home in Adamawa State.
The Adamawa State Police Command said the incident happened around midnight on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Wuro-Kuturu in the Jimeta area of Yola.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly worked with two other men, armed themselves with dangerous weapons and broke into the family residence, where they reportedly robbed the victim and her children of N200,000, two mobile phones and a power bank.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, identified the suspects as Aminu Adamu, 20; Adamu Mamman, 22; and Nuhu Umar, 22, all residents of Wuro-Kuturu.

Nguroje said operatives of the Karewa Area Command arrested the suspects on Thursday, September 17, following a report made by the victim.
Items recovered from the suspects included a knife, pliers, scissors, suspected hard drugs and quantities of Indian hemp.
The police spokesman added that the suspects allegedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has ordered a thorough investigation into the case and directed that the suspects be diligently prosecuted.
