Spurs Agree Deal to Sign Manchester City Winger Savinho
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho for an initial fee of around £75 million ($102 million), according to reports on Friday.
The Brazil international has been a long-standing target for Spurs, who previously failed in their attempt to bring him to north London during the 2025–26 campaign. The 22-year-old now appears set to complete the move, with Tottenham also potentially paying a further £10 million in add-ons.
Savinho’s arrival would represent another major investment as Tottenham continue their squad rebuild under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The club’s spending this summer is set to surpass £300 million as they look to strengthen after narrowly avoiding relegation last season.
Spurs are also reportedly interested in Savinho’s Manchester City teammate Omar Marmoush following the Egypt forward’s disappointing spell at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham’s need for attacking reinforcements has been heightened by a series of fitness concerns. James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are either recovering from injuries or remain sidelined.
If the transfer is completed in time, Savinho could therefore be thrust straight into Tottenham’s starting XI for Saturday’s Premier League opener away to Brentford.
Savinho struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Manchester City, but still produced seven goals and 16 assists in 84 appearances for the club. His pace, creativity and ability to play on either flank are expected to add another dimension to Tottenham’s attack.
