
The Oyo State Police Command has arrested 10 suspected human parts dealers during an operation in Iseyin and Saki areas of the state.
The suspects were arrested following intelligence-led operations targeting individuals allegedly involved in the illegal trade in human body parts, according to the command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade.
Items reportedly recovered from the suspects include a suspected human heart, human flesh, pieces of human skull and various charms.
Ayanlade said the recovered exhibits had been secured and would undergo forensic analysis as investigations continue.

The suspects were identified as Adam Ibrahim, Nasiru Kabiru, Tijani Wasiu, Abiola Nasiru, Amusa Gbadamosi, Raheem Taofeek, Jimoh Muritala, Suleiman Busari, Ganiyu Nurudeen and Usman Abdullahi.
The police said the arrests formed part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities involving human parts and other related offences across the state.
The command added that further details would be released as investigations progress.
The suspects remain in police custody while investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged activities and determine whether other individuals are connected to the case.
