Former Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, has confirmed he is on the verge of becoming the new head coach of the German national team, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.
Speaking to Magenta TV, Klopp revealed that discussions are at an advanced stage and a formal confirmation is imminent.
“We’re not that far away from being able to make an announcement. Ideally, in the next few days,” he said.
The 59-year-old is set to replace Julian Nagelsmann, who stepped down following Germany’s disappointing performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Germany’s campaign ended in heartbreak after a penalty shootout loss to Paraguay, marking their third consecutive early exit from the tournament.

Klopp, widely respected for his success at Liverpool, has been serving as Sporting Director at Red Bull since leaving the club in the summer of 2024.
His anticipated appointment is seen as a major step toward rebuilding the German national team and restoring its dominance on the global stage.
