Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has launched a scathing attack on England head coach Thomas Tuchel following the Three Lions’ World Cup semi-final loss to Argentina.
Reacting after the match, O’Hara blamed Tuchel’s tactical decisions and substitutions for England’s elimination, insisting the German manager “cost us that game” and “killed us.”
The outspoken pundit argued that England were in a strong position before the changes disrupted the team’s rhythm, allowing Argentina to seize control and book their place in the World Cup final.

O’Hara questioned Tuchel’s in-game management and suggested the Football Association should consider making a managerial change despite Tuchel’s relatively short spell in charge.
In his emotional reaction, he even joked about replacing Tuchel with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, asking, “Where’s Pep?” as he expressed frustration over England’s failure to reach the final.
England’s defeat ended their hopes of winning a first World Cup since 1966, while Argentina progressed to the final, where Lionel Messi and his teammates will battle Spain for the trophy.
Tuchel has faced increasing scrutiny following the result, although some football analysts have defended the England manager, arguing that the players also share responsibility for the defeat.
