
A private security outfit, Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL), has successfully rescued a kidnapped woman and apprehended two suspected kidnappers in Ondo State.
The operation, which took place in Ode-Irele, the headquarters of Irele Local Government Area, led to the safe recovery of 37-year-old trader, Morenike Falona, who had been abducted on June 16, 2026.
According to the Security Manager of GSSL, Navy Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi (retd.), the rescue mission was executed by a 20-man team acting on credible intelligence.
The victim was found three days later, on June 19, at a palm plantation in the Iju-Osun community. She was rescued unharmed.
During the operation, two suspects Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, and Monday Lucky, 37, also known as “Gazilo” were arrested. Both are reported to be from Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects have since been handed over to the Ondo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Abdullahi emphasized the firm’s commitment to supporting security agencies in safeguarding lives and property, noting that collaboration and timely intelligence played a crucial role in the success of the mission.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of GSSL, Chief Bibopere Ajube, commended members of the public for providing actionable information that aided the rescue.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue cooperating with security agencies.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, stated that the suspects are currently in police custody and that investigations are ongoing to track down other members of the criminal network.
He assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations, reiterating the importance of partnerships between private security outfits and law enforcement agencies in tackling crime.
