
Gunmen have reportedly killed a former staff member of Ogun State Television, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, alongside her security guard at her residence in the Agodo community along the Abeokuta–Siun–Sagamu Expressway.
The tragic incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, has thrown the community and media circles into mourning.
According to sources, the discovery was made by concerned church members who became worried after Mrs. Oyesiku failed to attend a church service.
Upon visiting her residence to check on her, they reportedly found the lifeless body of her security guard before later discovering that Mrs. Oyesiku had also been killed.
The assailants are believed to have carried out the attack under unclear circumstances, as details surrounding the incident remain sketchy at the time of filing this report.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the State Hospital morgue in Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command stated that an official statement would be released following preliminary investigations.
Mrs. Oyesiku, fondly known as “Aunty Kitan,” was a respected figure in media circles, having served with Ogun State Television before her retirement.
Her death has sparked grief among colleagues, friends, and residents.
