
The Katsina State Government has confirmed that Nigerian Army troops rescued four kidnapped victims during ongoing operations to track and apprehend notorious bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and his gang.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Dr. Nasir Mu’azu said in a statement on Wednesday that the rescue happened during sustained military operations in areas where the criminals are believed to be operating. The freed victims are Musa Yakuba, 62; Alhaji Sa’adu Dayi, 68; Mukhtar Danja, 36; and Salisu Danja, 50.

According to the statement, the victims sustained gunshot injuries while in captivity and were given immediate medical examinations after their rescue. The state government commended the Nigerian military and other security agencies involved in the operation.
Officials assured residents of their safety and said security forces will continue trailing bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and other criminal elements until they are arrested.
