Fresh attacks by gunmen in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State have left at least four people dead and several travellers abducted.
Security analyst Bakatsine reported on X that three people were killed while working on their farms. Two of the victims were residents of Zurmi town and one was from a nearby village.h
The violence escalated overnight when bandits stormed Baichen Dauran community and killed one person.

Shortly after, travellers were reportedly abducted along the road near Baichen Dauran. Among those taken was Kabiru Takaye, a commercial driver from Zurmi.
Residents of Zurmi and surrounding communities say they are living in fear as repeated attacks continue to threaten lives and disrupt farming and trade.
At the time of filing this report, authorities in Zamfara State had not issued an official statement on the incidents.
