Poland defender Kacper Potulski says his side deserved to win after a 2-2 draw with Nigeria in Wednesday’s friendly at Stadion PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.
Potulski put Poland ahead late in the first half, and Jan Urban’s team twice fought back to cancel out Nigeria’s goals in front of a 58,000-capacity crowd. Despite creating more chances than the Super Eagles, Poland were let down by poor finishing.
Speaking after the game, Potulski said Poland were unlucky not to take all three points. He argued that his side controlled large parts of the match and generated better opportunities.

“I think that throughout the entire match, we had more chances. They scored against us when everything was on the line,” Potulski told reporters.
“The first goal – it’s unclear whether it was offside. The second goal was a penalty kick, which we accidentally took. We created more chances.”
The Mainz defender’s comments reflect Poland’s frustration after dominating spells of the game but failing to convert pressure into victory.
