Incoming Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has given the green light for the club to sign two new players ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The LaLiga giants have agreed a deal to sign defender Ibrahima Konaté after the Frenchman left Liverpool as a free agent. Madrid will also trigger the €20 million release clause for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on X, stating that “José Mourinho has approved both Konaté and Dumfries deals for Real Madrid. The Special One appreciates both and Real Madrid could try one more defensive signing if the right opportunity appears on the market.”
