Authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic have expelled 365 students after uncovering that they gained admission using falsified academic credentials.
According to the institution’s management, the affected students drawn from various Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes were found to have submitted fake National Diploma (ND) results and forged transcripts from different institutions in a bid to secure admission.
The expulsion followed a comprehensive verification exercise carried out during the admission and registration process, which revealed widespread document fraud among applicants.
The institution’s Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola, said the decision reflects the school’s strict stance against academic dishonesty, stressing that the move is part of efforts to sanitize the system and uphold integrity in admissions.
