A 29-year-old graduate of Kogi State University, identified as Blessing Moshood, has been found dead after she reportedly disappeared from her family home in Abuja under mysterious circumstances.
According to family members, Blessing left home around 8 p.m. on Thursday after receiving a phone call. Her sister, Abigail Moshood, said the deceased later contacted the family about an hour afterward, informing them that she would briefly return home to pick up her phone charger which she had forgotten.
However, she never made it back home, and all attempts to reach her afterward were unsuccessful.

The family reportedly became worried when Blessing failed to return the following day. Their fears intensified after residents in the Jikwoyi area began discussing the discovery of a woman’s body inside a canal.
Abigail said the description of the deceased’s hairstyle matched that of her sister, prompting the family to make inquiries.
She disclosed that police officers from the Jikwoyi Police Station had evacuated the corpse, which was reportedly found half-naked with only a top on, to a mortuary in Mararaba, Nasarawa State.
Abigail added that she later visited the police station where officers showed her photographs that confirmed the deceased was her sister.
The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover those responsible for the killing.
