The 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on June 11, with hosts Mexico facing South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
With this collaboration, Burna Boy becomes the second Nigerian artist to feature on a FIFA World Cup official song, following Davido’s appearance on the Qatar 2022 soundtrack. The Grammy-winning singer has also previously featured on a UEFA Champions League theme song with Becky G and performed at the 2023 Champions League final in Istanbul.
It remains unclear whether Burna Boy will perform at the opening ceremony in Mexico City or the final in New Jersey.
