Chelsea legend John Terry has criticized Arsenal for what he described as “over-celebrating” after the Gunners secured a place in the Champions League final on Tuesday.
Arsenal booked their spot in the final after beating Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the semi-final second leg at the Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka’s goal proved decisive, sending Mikel Arteta’s side through on aggregate.
Following the final whistle, Arsenal players and staff celebrated with fans on the pitch, marking their return to the Champions League final for the first time in nearly two decades.
However, Terry was not impressed with the scale of the celebrations. Speaking to followers on TikTok, the former Chelsea captain said he felt the Gunners went overboard.

“I have been looking forward to this game all week, especially after the poor game of football between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid,” Terry said. “But fair play to Arsenal on making the Champions League final. By the way, Arsenal way over-celebrated. Far too much for me.”
“Yeah, you’re excited because you made the Champions League final, but you over-celebrated a little bit too much for me,” he added.
Arsenal will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest.
