The Nasarawa State Police Command has successfully foiled a planned kidnapping in Karu Local Government Area, arresting three suspects linked to the criminal plot in a major security breakthrough.
The operation was initiated following a formal complaint filed at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where an agribusinesswoman reported receiving threats from unidentified individuals.
The suspects allegedly demanded a ransom of ₦5 million, threatening to abduct her and her children if the demand was not met.
Acting swiftly on the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohamed, ordered a comprehensive investigation to neutralize the threat and bring those responsible to justice.
Police operatives, through an intelligence-led operation, arrested two initial suspects identified as Prince Eze (19) and Marwan Salihu (18), both residents of Agada Village in Karu LGA.
