
Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully neutralized two suspected kidnappers and rescued an abducted civilian during a coordinated operation in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The operation, which took place in the early hours of May 3, was carried out by personnel of the 12 Brigade from the Ofante–Unyi Ogugu Patrol Base in collaboration with officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
The joint security team acted on credible intelligence regarding the abduction of a civilian in Orakam village.
According to security sources, the operatives traced the suspects to a hideout at Adego Trailer Park, where they engaged the criminals in a gun duel.

Two of the kidnappers were killed during the exchange, while others managed to escape with injuries.
The abducted victim was rescued unharmed during the operation. Security personnel also recovered a mobile phone and a sum of ₦40,000 from the scene.
Efforts are currently underway to track down the fleeing suspects and dismantle the criminal network operating within the area.
