
The Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki, has escaped death after surviving a serious car accident along the Keffi–Akwanga highway on Monday.
The incident left his vehicle badly damaged, with images showing the wrecked car later evacuated to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly complex in Lafia.
Following the development, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, alongside other lawmakers, visited the Assembly complex to inspect the damaged vehicle.

Jatau described the crash as unfortunate but expressed gratitude that the Deputy Speaker came out alive and unhurt.
“We thank Almighty God for saving the life of the Deputy Speaker from the auto crash. We are grateful that he is alive and safe,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the accident had not been confirmed. Authorities have not released further details regarding what led to the crash.
