The Nigerian Army has paid its final respects to Brigadier General Oseni Braimah and other soldiers who lost their lives during a recent insurgent attack in Borno State.
The fallen officers and troops were buried with full military honours at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery on Wednesday, in a solemn ceremony attended by top government officials, military chiefs, and grieving family members.
Among those present were the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, alongside other senior officers.
They described the deceased as brave patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The soldiers were killed on April 9 following coordinated attacks by suspected fighters from Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province on military positions in Benisheikh, within Kaga Local Government Area.
