
A 27-year-old Nigerian resident in the United Kingdom, Oluwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man, Finbar Sullivan, in London.
According to statements released by the London Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred on April 7, 2026, at Primrose Hill, where a fight reportedly broke out, prompting concerned members of the public to alert authorities.
Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service responded swiftly to the scene after receiving a distress call at about 6:41 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Sullivan with multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that Sullivan’s next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers as investigations continue.

In a related development, another man believed to be in his 20s was found nearby on Regent’s Park Road with stab injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was later described as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.
Further updates from the police revealed that Ogunyankinnu was arrested on April 10 and formally charged with murder on April 12. He is scheduled to appear before the Stratford Magistrates’ Court.
A second individual, a 25-year-old man initially arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has since been released without further action.
The case adds to a growing list of incidents involving Nigerians facing serious criminal charges abroad.
