A 16-year-old girl, Precious Okafor, has accused,the General Overseer of Jesus Is Ontop Ministry in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Evangelist Dozie Ezani, of inappropriate conduct during a deliverance programme in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Precious Okafor said she was brought from Lagos in November 2025 by her aunt after being told she required spiritual intervention over alleged “marine spirit” afflictions.
She stated that she was handed over to Evangelist Dozie Ezani, the General Overseer of Jesus Is Ontop Ministry, where she stayed under his care.
She explained that she initially spent time in the pastor’s residence, she slept in the same room as the children that night. Later, while she was asleep, the pastor came into the room and started touching her, but she pushed his hands away.

After several attempts, he eventually left the room. She overheard his wife asking him where he had been, and he told her he was “checking on the children.”
The next day he took her to the church premises during what was described as a deliverance process. He told her that she is possessed with marine spirit, from the seven seas and she needs God’s intervention to be freed. While deliverance was going on he forced himself on her again and she resisted him.
Precious alleged that during her stay, she was isolated from outside contact and had limited ability to reach her family.
He also starved her for days and she became so weak because of hunger.
So the pastor forcefully overpowered her, and had intercourse with her.
He always force her, and have intercourse with her at the alter during the deliverance section and at his poultry farm in Igbukwu, their neighbouring town.
The teenager further claimed that she was told she needed continued spiritual treatment and was not allowed to leave freely during the period in question.
She also alleged that she experienced repeated inappropriate behaviour from the pastor, which she said made her uncomfortable and distressed.
She said that she experiencing bleeding from her private parts due to the mixed concoctions the pastor gave her to drink in an attempt to abort a suspected pregnancy.
Precious said her situation continued until operatives of the Anambra State Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) arrested Evangelist Dozie Ezani at a poultry farm in Igboukwu, Aguata Local Government Area, following a tip-off.
She was later taken to SASA offices in Onitsha for support and questioning.
She added that she is currently receiving medical attention and has called for proper care and protection as investigations continue.
In his response, Evangelist Dozie Ezani said the girl was brought to his ministry for deliverance and claimed she was believed to be affected by “seven spirits.”
He denied intentional wrongdoing, stating that he acted based on his spiritual understanding of the situation and insisted that his actions were connected to religious deliverance practices.
He also said he used herbal mixtures to address health complaints.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing.
