The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Delta State chapter, has raised concerns over a controversial medical report circulating online and linked to social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO.
In a statement issued on April 7, 2026, the association described the document being shared online as an altered report that did not originate from the diagnostic centre cited by the influencer.
Blessing CEO had earlier claimed she was battling Stage 4 cancer and reportedly appealed to the public for financial support, presenting what she described as a histology report as evidence of her condition.
However, the NMA said its findings revealed that the report was falsely attributed to Xinus Medical Diagnostics and allegedly signed by consultant pathologist Dr O. A. Odigwe.
According to the association, the diagnostic centre has denied issuing any such report to Blessing Okoro, stressing that it is located in Asaba, Delta State, not Enugu State as indicated in the circulating document.

The NMA further explained that the only related test conducted by the facility took place in May 2025 for a different patient identified as Deborah Mbara.
The test, requested by a doctor from a private hospital in Asaba, was to confirm a suspected case of breast cancer, and the result was officially released on May 9, 2025.
It added that the authentic version of the report, bearing the correct patient’s identity, is currently being circulated by a legal firm, Allen Juris Law, confirming that the version linked to Blessing CEO had been manipulated.
The association said it issued the clarification due to concerns over the alleged misuse of the altered document, warning members of the public to be cautious and verify sensitive medical claims before making donations or drawing conclusions.
Reaffirming its commitment to professionalism and integrity, the NMA stressed that its reputation and that of its members must not be undermined by the misuse of medical records.
It also called on relevant authorities to investigate the matter and take necessary action to prevent the public from being misled.
