Anambra State Police Command has arraigned a 21-year-old apprentice, Chiemerie Anieke, alongside an accomplice, Godwin Nnabuike Nwokporo, over the alleged murder of his employer, Ikechukwu Nwite, and the fraudulent transfer of millions of naira.
The command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that the suspects were arraigned on March 18, 2026, before a High Court in Onitsha following investigations by operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Police allege that Anieke attacked his employer with a pestle during a dispute, causing fatal injuries. The incident, which occurred in February at Fegge, Onitsha, reportedly followed an argument over alleged theft and drug use.
