Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of renowned cleric Enoch Adeboye, has opened up about a remarkable personal sacrifice she made after dedicating her life to Christ.
In a resurfaced video circulating online, she recounted how her life and priorities changed dramatically in the early days of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Before becoming born again, Foluke had a strong passion for fashion and owned several pieces of gold jewelry, some of which she had set aside for her young child.
However, after joining the church, where wearing such items was discouraged, she made the bold decision to give them all up.

“Every woman loves fashion,” she said. “By the time we became born again, it was a taboo for you to have them.” Instead of selling or keeping the gold, Foluke revealed she threw all her possessions into the lagoon.
When a family friend suggested she could have given the gold to her mother to sell, she declined, explaining: “Whatever is not good for me is not good for my mother.”
She also experimented with copper accessories for a time, investing significantly in them, but has no regrets about her choice.
“What would I say I miss? Not much, I have already sold myself,” Foluke added, highlighting the depth of her spiritual commitment.
Her story reflects the profound personal sacrifices she embraced as part of her journey of faith and the transformation that came with her devotion to God.
