Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has left Neymar out of his squad for the upcoming international friendlies, citing fitness concerns.
The forward, who plays for Santos, has not featured for Brazil since October 2023 due to a serious knee injury.
Although he has made four appearances for his club since mid-February, Ancelotti emphasized that Neymar is “not 100 percent” fit and therefore not ready for international duty.
Brazil will face France national football team on March 27 in Boston, followed by a clash against Croatia national football team in Orlando four days later.
Despite his current absence, Ancelotti hinted that Neymar could still be considered for the final squad ahead of the World Cup. Brazil will begin their campaign for a sixth title having last won in 2002 gainst Morocco national football team in New Jersey on June 13.

They are also set to face Haiti national football team and Scotland national football team in Group C.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Endrick has earned a recall to the national team after an impressive run of form during his loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais from Real Madrid.
The youngster, who has 14 international caps, last played for Brazil a year ago.
Brazil will also be without Rodrygo and Bruno Guimarães, both sidelined due to injuries.
In addition, Ancelotti has handed first-time call-ups to Brentford striker Igor Thiago and Bournemouth teenager Rayan as he continues to test new options ahead of the tournament.
