Onyinyechi Basil says
The Miss Universe Nigeria Onyinyechi Basil has revealed how her family strongly supported her decision to pursue pageantry, even while she balanced it with a full-time corporate career.
The beauty queen shared that before entering pageants, she was already working a 9-to-5 job, which reassured her family that she could handle the responsibilities that come with the title. According to Basil, pageantry requires significant dedication, including practicing catwalk techniques and improving communication skills alongside everyday professional commitments.
“They knew I could manage it because I was already doing a corporate job, 9-to-5, before going into pageantry,” she explained, adding that pageantry itself is demanding and requires consistent training and preparation.
