King Mitchy
Content creator and philanthropist Mitchell Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has publicly apologised to several individuals and Nigerians following recent controversies surrounding her online conduct.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, Mitchy expressed regret over her actions, including consuming a substance during a live video session. She acknowledged that her behaviour was inappropriate and accepted responsibility for it.
According to her, she reflected on the incident and realised the negative example it could set for young people who look up to her.
“I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions,” she said, admitting that taking the substance on a live broadcast was wrong and disappointing to many followers.
Apology to Seyi Tinubu and Ooni of Ife
Mitchy also offered a public apology to Seyi Tinubu, the son of Bola Tinubu, explaining that although she had previously apologised privately, she felt the need to address the issue publicly.
She thanked him for his support and promised never to take it for granted.
Additionally, she apologised to the Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, for involving his name in the controversy. During the apology, she knelt and expressed deep regret for mentioning him in her earlier posts.

VeryDarkMan Slams Tinubu, Calls Him ‘Worst Thing That Happened to Nigeria’
Message to VeryDarkMan
Addressing activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, Mitchy described him as a “brother” and acknowledged that she now better understood his advocacy.
She said he was fighting for a better Nigeria and deserved support rather than opposition.
How the Controversy Started
The situation began in late February 2026 after Mitchy announced that she had renovated a dilapidated school within six days, suggesting that meaningful change could happen quickly with genuine commitment.
Her remarks were widely interpreted as subtle criticism of VeryDarkMan, who later accused her of being used politically to improve the image of the Tinubu administration.
The controversy intensified when Mitchy shared what she described as a private social media exchange with the Ooni of Ife, claiming the monarch had reached out to her. The claim sparked backlash online, with critics accusing her of disrespecting the traditional ruler.
VeryDarkMan also alleged that Seyi Tinubu was funding her philanthropic projects.
Live Video Incident and Death Rumour
Tensions escalated during a live video session in which Mitchy, appearing distressed, consumed a substance believed to be bleach while viewers pleaded with her to stop.
Soon after, a message posted on her Instagram page by her management claimed she had died at Prime Care Hospitaldespite medical efforts to revive her.
However, the hospital denied the claim, stating she was never admitted there. Her management later retracted the statement and confirmed that she was alive and recovering.
Seyi Tinubu Responds
In a separate statement, Seyi Tinubu denied allegations linking him to the feud between Mitchy and VeryDarkMan.
He explained that he had met Mitchy only once in a public setting, where he offered financial support for her NGO activities. According to him, the support was part of his broader philanthropic efforts for young Nigerians and organisations working on empowerment initiatives.
Tinubu also rejected claims of any private relationship or improper dealings with the influencer, accusing VeryDarkMan of using the situation to damage his reputation.
