Pastor Chris Okafor of Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry has recanted the apology he previously issued to actress Doris Ogala over their alleged years-long secret romance.
The controversy began last year when Ogala publicly accused Okafor of abandoning her despite promises of marriage during their eight-year sexual relationship. The issue resurfaced after a video of Okafor with a young woman went viral on social media.
Ogala, demanding compensation, had rejected the initial $10,000 settlement from Okafor as insufficient compared to the evidence she claimed to hold against him.
Following this, Okafor had issued an open apology during a Sunday service, seeking forgiveness from her and other women he allegedly hurt.

In a new development, Okafor has now withdrawn the apology, stating he acted under pressure from others. Referring to Ogala as a “Jezebel,” he told his congregation in a viral video that he intends to resolve the matter legally.
“There’s no apology for what I didn’t do or for someone I haven’t met face to face. I was pressured by people I called friends but who are not,” Okafor said.
He added that he knelt to apologize for the sake of senior pastors Bishop Abioye and Matthew, not because of Ogala.
Meanwhile, Okafor’s second daughter, Amara, has reportedly planned to press charges against him for alleged assault and abuse of the actress.
