
A suspected armed phone snatcher was reportedly burnt to death by an angry mob in Plateau State after he was accused of robbing a resident of a mobile device.
The incident, which occurred in a community within the state capital, Jos, sparked tension as residents gathered following allegations that the suspect had been terrorizing the area through phone theft and other petty crimes.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect was apprehended shortly after an alleged robbery attempt. According to accounts from the scene, the victim raised an alarm, drawing the attention of passersby and local youths who pursued and captured the suspect.
Items believed to have been stolen were reportedly recovered from him.
However, before security operatives could intervene, the crowd allegedly took the law into their own hands, attacking the suspect and setting him ablaze.
