
Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has petitioned the Delta State Police Command against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop over alleged defamation of character.
The petition, submitted through Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro & Co, accused Ontop of persistently making false and damaging statements about the actor for over two years.
According to the document dated January 28, 2026, Leonard alleged that the filmmaker repeatedly used social media and other online platforms to portray him as unprofessional, unreliable, and morally questionable.
Leonard claimed that the statements were unprovoked, misleading, and widely circulated, shaping negative public perception about him within the entertainment industry.

He further alleged that the publications subjected him to public ridicule, damaged his reputation, and potentially affected his career opportunities.
The actor maintained that the claims were malicious and lacked factual basis, prompting him to seek police intervention to halt further defamatory publications and ensure accountability.
As of the time of filing this report, Stanley Ontop has not publicly responded to the allegations.
