
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has intervened to rescue two male suspects from an angry mob in Utako, Abuja.
The suspects, Kefas Akaye and Uya Ugwowere, are believed to be part of a four-man gang involved in “one chance” robberies within the FCT.
Police investigations indicate that the suspects traveled from Uke, Nasarawa State, to carry out their criminal activities.
Two other members of the gang, identified as Mary and Aisha, escaped during the commotion.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the police acted swiftly after receiving a distress call around 11:00 AM.

She warned against jungle justice, emphasizing that mob violence endangers lives, destroys crucial evidence, and hinders proper investigation and prosecution.
