A Nigerian woman, Deborah Mbara, has accused popular relationship expert Blessing CEO of using her medical report to solicit financial assistance from the public.
The allegation comes amid an ongoing controversy surrounding Blessing CEO’s earlier claim that she was battling stage 4 breast cancer, a statement that drew widespread sympathy and support online.
Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor, revealed in a video shared on social media that she had previously given Blessing CEO access to her medical report under the impression that it was for comparison purposes.
According to her, they had met in Asaba last year during a makeup session. She explained that they reconnected recently when Blessing began publicly discussing her health challenges.
During their conversation, Blessing reportedly requested a copy of her diagnosis to compare with her own medical results.

Trusting her intentions, Mbara said she sent the document, only to later discover that the same report had allegedly been altered and circulated online to support claims of illness and solicit funds.
“I thought I was helping someone in need,” she said, expressing shock over the development. She described the situation as a betrayal of trust.
The controversy intensified after the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) called for an investigation into the matter, including the alleged alteration of medical records.
Meanwhile, the medical facility linked to the report also denied issuing the document to Blessing CEO, stating that it originally belonged to Mbara and was issued in May 2025.
Mbara further alleged that despite publicly denying any connection with her, Blessing CEO had privately reached out to her family to plead. She claimed her husband advised that a public apology and full disclosure should be made.
The incident has continued to generate reactions on social media, with many Nigerians calling for accountability and transparency over the claims.
