“FCT Minister Wike Pledges Support for Trump if He Supplies Technology to Fight Terrorism in Nigeria”
On Monday, Wike made the statement during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television. His remarks come amid former President Trump’s allegations of a Christian genocide in Nigeria.”
Trump recently designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over the same allegation. He also stated that he had instructed the Defence Department to prepare for possible military action should the Nigerian government “continue to allow the killing of Christians.”
Responding, Wike stated, “It is not enough to simply acknowledge the loss of lives in Plateau, Benue, and other regions. I have affirmed my support for Trump in providing and assisting Nigeria with technology to combat terrorism. Likewise, I am open to supporting any country that offers viable solutions to address terrorism in Nigeria.”
